Nephron: Introduction:- Nephron is the basic ,structural and functional unit of kidney. There are millions of nephron are present in human body. Approximately a healthy adult has 1.5 million in each kidney. Each nephron in the mammalian kidney is a long tubule, or extremely fine tube, about 30–55 mm (1.2–2.2 inches) long.there are two types of nephrons— cortical nephrons (85 percent), which are deep in the renal cortex, and juxtamedullary nephrons (15 percent), which lie in the renal cortex close to the renal medulla.
